Looking to level-up your Balboa? Whether you just started, or are one of our hard-core regulars, this series will help you build your vocabulary and hone your technique. Classes will be multi-level, with a special 30-min intro to the week’s topic for newer dancers or anyone who’d like a quick refresher. The following hour, we’ll work through a series of variations building up to advanced material aimed at challenging even our more experienced dancers. Classes are stand-alone (but note the pre-requisites!).
Jul 7 — Pure Bal rhythms and variations using up-hold timing (Open to all, even beginners!)
Jul 14 — Swivels & variations/exits (Pre-req: our Balboa Fundamentals series or equivalent)
Jul 21 — Turns in lollies/tossouts (Pre-req: Balboa Fundamentals series or equivalent)

Sept 1 — Crabwalks & variations (Pre-req: comfortable with the basic)
Sept 8 — Pivots (Pre-req: Balboa Fundamentals series or equivalent)
Sept 15 — Walks, drags, and other fun with “slows” (Pre-req: comfortable with the basic)
Date/Time: Sundays, 6-6:30 (intro/refresher), 6:30-7:30pm (int/adv deep dive)

We STRONGLY recommend bringing a water bottle. (No fountain or water for sale at the studio.) No partner required. Dance shoes with suede or leather soles recommended. Shoes must have a non-marking sole.
