*** WE'RE MOVING!!! ***

Our Thursday night dance venue is moving locations!
The Ong King Art Center is moving to Fort Street Mall on July 1, and we're moving with them. Join us in the NEW LOCATION every Thursday, starting July 6!

Ong King Art Center
1154 Fort Street Mall
Honolulu, HI 96817

Thursdays, 8-11pm
$5 cover, FREE mini-lesson included (8:15-8:45pm)

The new space will be bigger and nicer than their previous Chinatown location. That said, we ask for your patience during the transition while we wait for them to install the new floor (which we hear will be really nice and roughly twice as big as the old space). In the meantime, the dance will be on a smooth concrete floor, so be kind to your body and take it easy out there. The 4-week beginning swing series is currently on hold during the transition, but will resume soon.

There's nearby parking at Mark's Garage and various municipal lots, as well as street parking in walking distance. You're welcome to bring your own drinks, and we'll have water available for sale if you forget. For questions, contact Christine at (808) 277-8480.

Sunday Balboa Practice

What: A Balboa Practice!
When: Sundays evenings (see schedule below)
Where: Aloha Dancesport Center (350 Ward Ave, Studio 2 upstairs — enter through small door around the back of the building, NOT the stairwell facing Ward Ave)
Why: Because (1) Balboa is awesome, and (2) who doesn't want another night of dancing?
How: Show up! (And pay a $5 cover so we can keep the lights on)
Note: Bring your own water bottle! (There is no drinking fountain or water for sale at the studio)

Upcoming Schedule - Summer 2017:
Aug 6, 2017: 7-9pm
Aug 13: 7-9pm
Aug 20: 7-9pm
Aug 27: 7-9pm
(Sept schedule TBA...)

Come practice your Balboa, exchange moves and ideas with your peers, or fix that trouble-spot. Or just come and dance... that's cool too. The structure is very informal and social dance conventions need not apply: if you want to work with the same person for 30 mins, you can; if you want to bring dance videos to reconstruct moves from, do it. We'll play Bal-friendly music at a variety of tempos (and won't even kick you out if you Lindy Hop to it ;) ).

Everyone welcome... even if you've never danced Balboa! There will NOT be any formal instruction, but people will be on-hand to help or provide feedback if you'd like. For more information, contact Deb here or at 808-780-4641.
