HJ - 5/20/08 Goings on

Beginner Plus Series with Evan - 4-week series on Thursday nights 7-8pm at Ong King Art Center. Dates are: May 1, 8, 15, 22, 7-8pm. Come build your swing repertoire and develop those partner communication skills for the social dance floor! Prerequisite: HJ Beginning Lindy Hop class series or equivalent (must know the swingout). No partner necessary!

Beginning Lindy Hop - Come out and learn to dance or brush up on your basics with the Hawai'i Jitterbug's Brent and Christina. Our next 6-week beginning swing class will be held on Thursdays, 7-8pm; May 29, Jun 5, 12, 19, 26, Jul 3, 7-8pm. No partner or experience necessary! Series includes FREE admission to the Hawaii Jitterbugs' dance following classes on Thursdays from 8-11pm at Ong King Art Center. $60 for 6 weeks or $15/class (first night only)

Andrew Sutton Workshop - Andrew Sutton will be visiting us in Honolulu the first week of June, and offering a short (3-class) workshop while he's here. This is a great opportunity to take classes with an internationally known instructor. Andrew has a very innovative approach to his dancing (and teaching!), making this a great chance to expand your own dancing to uncharted territories! Monday, Jun 2, 7:30-10:30pm (3 classes) @ Manoa Dance Studio, 2851 E Manoa Rd, Ste 1-207. $30 for entire workshop if you pre-register by Jun 1! Cost at the door: $20 for 1st class, $45 for all 3 (Note: classes build on one another; instruction permission needed to join late!)
